Funny. I didn't even ask Grant to try and pose like a fish. But he sure looks like that fish behind him! What talent.

This weekend my sister Sarah came to visit us from AZ. It was SO nice to have company! Being without Calvin in a new place has its ups and downs, and I was craving some good adult conversation and a reasn to get out and see the town. We had a great time. On Friday night we went to the Cheesecake Factory, Sarah's favorite place. The kids even sat pretty well through it! And boy, that chocolate cheesecake (whatever it was called) was so good. While we were at Caeser's Palace, we stopped to see the moving statues and the huge fish tank with sting rays in it. All in all it was a great night on the town. Though Spencer asked me if the Paris tower (whatever that hotel is called) was where King Benjamen spoke from. Not exactly, son. :) And keep your eyes down so you don't ask any questions about those lovely bilboards ahead.


Saturday we took the boys to The Silverton Hotel, which had a huge fish/shark/sting ray exhibit where you could not only watch the diver feed the sting rays, but you could ask questions and communicate with her while she was in the tank. Pretty neat! So we saw more sting rays and more fish. It was pretty facinating to watch the sting rays chew their food! Then Sarah and I watched a movie, made brownies (and ate more than 1/2 the pan!) and stayed up entirely too late talking...again. It was a blast! The boys cried when Sarah left. She managed to escape all the pictures, but I swear, she really was here. :)
