Overheard while getting ready for bed:
Spencer- Come on, Grant. Let's hurry and get in bed so Easter will come quicker!
Grant- I'm going to open my eyes and peek when Easter comes. I think it's like white.
Spencer- No, probably more brownish.
Easter discussion at dinner:
Spencer- Mom, I'm not sure the Easter Bunny is real. I mean, how does he get to every house in the whole world in one night?!
Grant- Santa does.
Spencer- (skeptical) Yeah, but he has a sled. Sleds can go fast. Bunnies just like...hop.
I'm thinking this may be the last year of 'believing.' He's getting too darn logical!
It reminds me of a more believing time with Spencer. I was flying to VA a couple of years ago with 2 kids and was trying desperately to get him to buckle his seat belt. He refused. I told him if the plane was in danger, the seat belt would keep him safe. He said:
"Mom, if I crash, Superman will just come and grab the plane and save us. Besides, my teacher told me at church that even if we die or lose our body parts they'll just come back together again anyway."
There you have it. Our understanding of Easter Bunnies and the Resurrection. :)

Do you mind if I use that last little conversation in my primary lesson tomorrow? That is great!
Oh gosh...that is so cute! I miss Spencer! And all y'all.
Ah, the perspective of children. So nice that we are recording the insanity on blogs, right?
